Enclosed is a picture of the end of a cypress 6 pin crossarm that you might like to show in Crown Jewels. It was near the center of a large sycamore tree. The crossarm had two pins showing on one side and one on the other. The tree doesn't usually creep out on the arm like this one. Enclosed is 5 dollars for 1 year subscription.

Dear Dora:

This letter is from another disappointed insulator collector. I agree with William Neeley (July issue) on his thoughts on the fairness at bottle shows.

I attended the Gulf Coast Bottle & Insulator Show in League City, Texas. The show placed glass and porcelain insulators in the same category.

According to the rules, all displays were to remain anonymous, so that the judges could make a fair and unbiased decision The person that displayed the glass collection wooed each judge and placed 1st, ahead of our rare porcelain. The thing that really hurts is placing second behind a hodgepodge of common glass insulators. Also I witnessed items being displayed that had been borrowed.

The show was advertised Bottle and Insulator Show. When the news media covered the show no mention was made of the insulators. It is apparent that the judging is unfair, and prejudiced against insulators. In my opinion, bottle shows should be left to the bottles.
